뉴질랜드 베들레헴칼리지 - 디지털 혼합 수업(Blended Learning) 학급 설명회

뉴질랜드 타우랑가의 베들레헴 칼리지(Bethlehem College) 에서는 2014년부터

Year 7 ~ Year9 학년에 새로운 블렌디드 학급을 편성하게 됩니다.

 

각 학년별 6개 학급 중에서  3개씩을 "Blended Learning Classes"로 편성하고, 이 학급에서는

아이패드 등 디지털 기기를 이용한 새로운 수업 방식을 도입합니다.   

 

올해 Year7- Year8 학년에서 시범 수업을 마친 학생들은 자동적으로 내년 2014년에 이 학급으로 편성이 되며 2014년에 이 블렌디드 학급에 편성되기 원하는 학부모님들을 위해  19일  저녁에 설명회를 갖습니다.

 

Blended Learning 학습이란?  

·      학생들은 자기 소유의 아이패드(iPad)를 학교에 갖고 와서 학습 도구로 사용합니다. 디지털로 작성할 수 있는 숙제, 정보검색, 영화나 사진 캡쳐 및 편집 도구 등으로 사용하게 됩니다. 

  ·         Blended learning classes는  디지털 기기와  전통적인 종이 노트북 학습을 혼합, 각각의 장점을 병행 활용하므로써 최대의 학습 효과를 거두기 위한 수업 방식입니다.  

·      학생들의 수업 참여도를 높이면서 보다 개별적인 맞춤 학습을 통해 교육 효과를 향상시킬 수 있습니다. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Invitation to meeting about Junior Secondary Blended Learning Classes in 2014

날짜: 8월 19일 오후 7시30분  (PAC   7.30pm ,  19^th August)

 

Introduction

In the 2014 school year we will be having 3 of our 6 classes in each of our Junior Secondary year groups (Year 7 – 9) as blended learning classes.  This meeting is for the purpose of explaining how these classes will operate and provide parents the opportunity to express their interest in their child being part of a blended learning class next year.

 

What is Blended Learning

·         An approach to teaching and learning where by students bring their own iPad to use in class as a digital workbook, research tool, movie/photo capturing and editing device etc.

·         Blended learning classes use the best of both worlds: digital and paper to support the learning activity.

·         Benefits include: increased student engagement and greater personalised learning which can lead to improvements in teaching and learning.

 

Application Process

An application form for your child to be involved in a blended learning class will be available to be picked up on the evening. This can be filled out then or taken away for further consideration.

Students already in a blended learning class need not apply. (we assume you will want to continue).

 

Digital Discipleship and Student Safety

The school is carrying out work around digital discipleship to assist students to act responsibly with digital media. This work will be on-going as student safety is obviously very important to us as teachers and parents.

 

Students involved in these classes would be expected to sign a contract committing themselves to responsible use of their digital device with an understanding of consequences should they violate this requirement.

 

Device Guidelines

Based on the learning from the 2013 blended learning pilot classes in Y7 and Y8 – all students accepted into the 2014 blended learning classes will need to bring their own iPad.

The students will be responsible for looking after their own devices.
