마운트 망가누이 인터미디어트 ESOL 수업 시간

뉴질랜드 타우랑가에 위치한 마운트 망가누이 인터미디어트(Year7-Yar8)의 해외 유학생들을 위한

ESOl 수업 풍경입니다.

 

 

지난 주엔 뉴질랜드 곤충에 대한 수업이 진행되었고요,

이번주엔 뉴질랜드 타우랑가의 역사, 유적지, 타우랑가 항구 등을  방문하면서 

현장에서 영어 실력을 향상시키고  있습니다.

Our ESOL Teacher, Cynthia Harnor, has finished testing our International Students and Migrants and has used their results to design targeted and valuable lessons that meet the needs of each student. As well as delivering targeted skill sessions, such as Inference work,

 

Cynthia has been running an integrated study on New Zealand Mini Beasts.  The students have studied a living praying mantis and watched as a butterfly moved through the stages of it’s life cycle. They have really enjoyed this unit and have extended their vocabulary and knowledge of New Zealand wildlife.

 

This week the ESOL children are starting a new unit focusing on the history of our local area. The unit will start with a field trip to Mount Maunganui. The children will be involved in viewing kiwifruit as it is loaded onto boats at the port, walking on the historic stone jetting and learning about the integral part that Tauranga harbour has had in shaping our city.
