<타우랑가 아트 갤러리 공연, 전시 소식>

 

The Gallery welcomes four new exhibitions this month, with a further two coming up in early March. Also, don't forget to book your tickets to the PACIFIC CURLS performance, Saturday 6 March. This trio of very talented musicians will have you to your feet, and amaze you with their dexterity, energy and musicianship. A night to be remembered! 

 

EVENTS

 

Pacific CurlsPACIFIC CURLS 7.30pm, Saturday 6 March

After a successful tour of Canada, New Caledonia, South Korea and Europe, Pacific Curls are touring the country with their unprecedented combination of Scottish fiddle, Taonga Puoro, ukuleles, cajon, guitar, kalimba, percussion and outstanding vocals.

Tickets: $25, or $20 for Friends of the Gallery and group bookings of five+.

Bahman Jalali, Image of ImaginationEY! IRAN contemporary Iranian photography

Images by 18 media artists, many of whom still live in Iran, that portray the social realities of the Persian people as seen by the Persian lens. The images depict a culture surprisingly familiar to ours, and capture a side of Iran which is often contrary to the one presented by the western media.

A celebration of the inspiration that aspects of the New Zealand landscape have been for potter, Len Castle. The exhibition includes over 60 ceramic works, alongside images of the landscape, and poetry by ten leading New Zealand poets.
