뉴질랜드 타우랑가 '2012년 올해의 유학생' 상패와 장학금 시상 안내

뉴질랜드 타우랑가에서 올해 조기유학,유학하고 있는 우리 학생들의 성과는 어느 해와 마찬가지로 눈부시게 빛났습니다. 각 가족들 모두가 자녀들의 발전과 성장에 놀라셨을 것으로 믿습니다.   

 

한국에서 고생하시는 아버님들의 바램에 절대 부족하지 않았을 한 해였고 또한 타우랑가에서 자녀들과 함게 각 가정이 바라는 목표와 희망을 위해 분주했던 모든 어머님들께도 힘찬 박수부터 보냅니다. 

올해로 벌써 4회째를 맞는 '올해의 유학생' 트로피와 장학금 시상을 예고해드립니다.

뉴질랜드 타우랑가 각 학교에서 1인씩 추천받아 시상하는 ‘올해의 유학생' (Scholarship Award for the most achieved international student of the Year 2012,  Sponsored by Tauranga Korean Times )’  안내해드립니다.

 

 <시상 대상> 

뉴질랜드 타우랑가신문사/유학원을 통해 장기 1년이상 학비를 납부하고 각 학교에서 조기유학, 유학중인 14명의 학생들에게 트로피를 수여합니다. 이중 초등학교 2인, 인터미디어트 2인,  칼리지 1인 등 5명을 최종 선정해 장학금 $500도 부상으로 시상합니다.  

 

<'올해의 유학생' 선정기준> 

(1)  각 학교에서  학교장과  인터내셔널 디렉터의 추천을 받은 학생 (각 학교별 1명씩) 시상 

(2)  뉴질랜드 학교에서 유학 생활 중 학업 및 스포츠, 예술분야 등에서 그 해 가장 탁월한 발전과 향상(most improved & most achieved)을 보인 학생. 

 (3) 바른 교내 학습 태도와 건전한 교우관계, 사회적으로 건전하고 모범적인 매너와 에티켓

 (4) 열린 마음으로 커뮤니티에 적극 봉사하고, 미래 발전에 공헌할 재능을 보인 학생   

 

 <시상 안내> 

 매년 11월말까지 각 학교별 1인을 추천 받아 '올해의 유학생 트로피"를 제작, 학교에 전달합니다. 매년 12월 첫주에 각 학교에서 열리는 마지막 조회시간에 학교장이 해당 학생에게 시상. 

 

 <시상 내용> 

 

매년 각 학교별 '올해의 유학생' 14명을 선정해 각 학교에서 트로피와 상장 수여합니다.  

    이 중  타우랑가신문사 선정위원회에서는 최고 평가를 받은 5명의 학생들(전년도 수상자 출신 학교별 안배 포함)에겐  장학금 $500씩 부상으로 지급합니다.

Tauranga Korean Times Ltd, as an international education agency would like to award scholarship funds to the most improved students every year. It’s already the 4^th annual celebration!

 

Therefore if each school selects 1 student suitable for the categories below, then,

we will award a trophy to every nominated student from your school.

 

Also, we will select final 5 students among the students chosen from each school and they will be given additional scholarship fund of $500 each.

 

$500 scholarship cheque will be given to 5 students including 2 primary school students, 2 Intermediate school students and 1 college student.

 

It will be much appreciated, if you could issue a school certificate and present a nominated student with a school certificate & trophy during your final assembly.

For final 5 students, scholarship cheque will be passed onto the family later at Tauranga Korean Times premise with a small party.

 

Please find the categories for choosing a suitable student below.

 

1. A student introduced by Tauranga Korean Times and has paid more than 1 year tuition fee regardless of leaving or moving school at the end of 2012.

 

2. A student that has improved the most at all subjects including English, sports achievement, art/music talents etc

 

3. Valued behavior, excellent learning attitude and good social manners.

 

If possible, would you be able to select one student from your school and send us the letter of recommendation or proof of their achievements or short report by the 25th November 2012 please?

 

One more thing, would you be able to send us some photos or short report of your Korean international students having shown outstanding performance or made special achievements during this year please?

 

It will be a good opportunity to promote your school on our website.

 

Tauranga Korean Times Ltd would like to establish a yearly scholarship awarding program to reward Korean international students for their hard work in New Zealand and we hope to increase the amount of scholarship and number of students as well in the near future.
