뉴질랜드 타우랑가의 설퍼포인트에 위치한 타우랑가 요트 & 파워보트 클럽에서 쥬니어 학생들(18세 이하)을 대상으로 하는 요트 세일링 레슨을 합니다...  지난 7년간 6명의 세계 챔피언을 배출한 명문 클럽.

Learn to Sail (세일링 레슨)

Our 'Learn to Sail' programme, provides a pathway to take children through the Yachting New Zealand (YNZ) syllabus, whilst providing time for fun and recreational sailing.

 

The courses consist of either 3 day intensive holiday programme courses or a 7 lessons after school sessions during Term 1.

 

Our approach provides students with the opportunity to complete their YNZ Level 1 & 2 at their own pace.  This suits most children and is a perfect way for them to integrate into club sailing at the Tauranga Yacht & Power Boat Club.

 

Club sailors race regularly at local, regional and national level.  Many go on the represent the Tauranga Yacht & Power Boat Club (TYPBC) and New Zealand.

 

The proof of the success of this combined BoPSAT/TYPBC approach, is in the number of junior sailors who have gone on to become champions. 

 

Six World Champions in the last seven years!

 

Aim: to provide the opportunity for students to learn to sail and to promote regular club sailing.

Target Market: students throughout the Bay of Plenty.

Age Range: 8 to 18.

School Years: 4 to 13.

Group Size: instructor ratio 1:6.

 

Duration: each course consists of either 3 x six hour days during the school holidays or 7 x two and a half hour sessions after school during Term 1.

 

Availability: normally Sunday mornings and Tuesdays afternoons.

 

Qualification: Yachting New Zealand Level 1 & Level 2.

 

Cost: $245.00 per student, including; boat & kit hire, Tauranga Yacht & Power Boat Club membership and Yachting New Zealand Logbook. 

 

Next Stage: 'Learn to Race' programme with the Tauranga Yacht & Power Boat Club, on completion of YNZ Level 2.
